UTENX · ENGINEERING

Offline field workflows, connected and handed over.

An anonymized duty-of-care project for a workforce in conflict-affected countries, designed around mobile operation without a network.

A workflow that cannot depend on constant connectivity

Utenx’s published work describes an HR and safety platform for staff deployed into conflict-affected countries. The mobile workflow includes a panic alarm that queues locally when there is no network and delivers when connectivity returns.

The wider system includes movement-risk approvals routed through field security officers, security broadcasts with staff check-in, and incident reporting. The existing project summary states eighteen months end to end and handoff to the client’s team. This was a larger engagement than the current six-to-ten-week fixed-scope build range.

Connecting the operational steps

The mobile device captures a field event even when network access is unavailable. When connectivity returns, queued information can continue to the connected workflow. Movement approvals, broadcasts and reports give the wider operation a way to use the information.

The diagram is a simplified summary of the public project description. It does not disclose sensitive client details or the specific safety protocols of any workforce.

Handoff and operating ownership

The already published summary states that the system was handed to the client team and has remained in production since 2022. The relevant handoff question is whether the receiving team can operate the actual environment the product was built for.

For another project, define what the operator should see when work is queued, when an update fails and when a connection resumes. Those questions belong in acceptance and operating documentation, not only in a demonstration with a stable connection.

Scope of the public evidence

The project summary gives the functions, platform context, eighteen-month delivery and client handoff. It does not publish a safety-outcome benchmark, an uptime percentage or cost savings. This case study does not add those claims.

Clients remain unnamed by default. Relevant references and live links can be discussed through the project contact route.
